Filippo Cortesi has extensive experience in the banking industry, mainly in investment banking outside Italy. In 2006, he was working for Dresdner Bank, where he covered various roles and responsibilities related to derivatives and alternative assets, until the merger with Commerzbank, where he eventually served as head of Alternative Assets. In 2013, he was among the founding members of Wave Securities LLP, a London-based company regulated by the FCA. In 2016, he promoted and then carried out the takeover of GBM Banca with an innovative and ambitious business plan aimed at creating a new banking platform to serve the needs of Italian SMEs and households. After a complete restructuring and rebuilding of the infrastructure, he launched Aigis Banca at the end of 2020.
